Total Football by Giulia Iacolutti is a companion publication to 'I don’t care (about football)', bringing together a selection of mostly unpublished photographs and collages from the original body of work developed with the Marangoni 105 football team in Udine, expanding the visual and emotional landscape of the work.

Created within a rehabilitation residence managed by the Duemilauno Agenzia Sociale Cooperative and part of the Udine Mental Health Department, the work uses football as a space for participation, care, and shared experience. This concept echoes Johan Cruyff’s idea of “total football” as a fluid and collective form of play, and was developed through workshops involving photography, writing, and collective artistic practices. In homage to Cruyff, all players wear the number 14 shirt.

Giulia Iacolutti (b. 1985, Italy) investigates vulnerability as a space of transformation and collective agency through photography, moving images, performance, and participatory practices. Her work has been exhibited internationally at institutions including PAC, La Triennale di Milano, MUNAF, and MUAC. Her publications include Casa Azul (the(M) éditions and studiofaganel, 2019) and I Don’t Care (About Football) (bruno, 2023), shortlisted for the Author Book Award at Les Rencontres d’Arles. Her photographs are also featured in 'No Place Like Home. Italian Photography Since the 1980s', curated by Ralph Goertz and presented at leading German institutions in 2025-2027.

Among recent recognitions are the Mila Award (2024), METAMORFOSI Italian Cultural Institute in Prague (2025), OMEN Land (2023) and the Strategia Fotografia grant promoted by the Italian Ministry of Culture (2025).

Limited to 500 numbered copies, each copy of the book includes a 5x7 inch original print that has been signed by the artist. In collaboration with Micamera.
